Postgraduate Diploma in Health Research and Epidemiology
CAIHR offers a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Research and Epidemiology in collaboration with the UWI Open Campus. The course is delivered fully online with option for face-to-face for some modules.
Who should apply
All persons desiring to be members of the cadre of health researchers tasked with finding solutions of impact to health problems on national, regional and global levels.

Course of study
The programme consists of five stand-alone modules and a Research Paper aimed at preparing students to learn skills and competencies needed in each stage of the health research process:

Duration and Award of Programme
The programme will be offered over a minimum of fifteen (15) months and a maximum of three (3) years. However, students have the option of pursuing individual courses as stand-alone course (one semester each) as specially admitted students but will be required to register for the programme, should they decide to pursue more than 3 of the stand-alone courses.
Delivery Mode
The programme will be delivered fully online through The University of the West Indies Global Campus. All new graduate students are required to do the Graduate Introduction to Online Learning before starting the programme to fulfil the requirements for graduation.
Entry Requirements
An undergraduate degree (at least a Lower Second Class or its equivalent) from an approved tertiary institution in a relevant discipline.
