Admission Requirements

At minimum an undergraduate degree GPA 2.5 in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, other health sciences, pure and applied or social sciences.

Candidates are expected to meet all other matriculation requirements of the University of the West Indies, Mona.

MPhil in Epidemiology

Modules

The MPhil is awarded on the basis of a substantial research thesis.

Entry Requirements

MPhil Applicants are expected to have an honours degree with some emphasis on their proposed research areas.

Applicants with Graduate Degrees in other disciplines [MPH, MSc Nutrition, MSc Family Medicine and MPhil (Basic or Social Sciences)] will also be considered and may be required to complete taught courses in the MSc Epidemiology Programme.


PhD in Epidemiology

Modules

The PhD is awarded on the basis of very substantial and original research.

Entry Requirements

PhD applicants should have completed a MSc or equivalent degree in Epidemiology.

Applicants with Graduate Degrees in other disciplines [MPH, MSc Nutrition, MSc Family Medicine and MPhil (Basic or Social Sciences)] will also be considered and may be required to complete taught courses in the MSc Epidemiology Programme.
