Groundbreaking Partnership with Rugby League Jamaica Ltd. and the Jamaica Rugby Football Union

 

KINGSTON – July 22, 2022 - The University of the West Indies (UWI) through the Mona Academy of Sport, Faculty of Sport, achieved a significant milestone in strategic partnership with the Rugby League Jamaica Ltd. (RLJ) and the Jamaica Rugby Football Union (JRFU) with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on July 15, during the recent Rugby Americas North (RAN) Women’s 12s and Men’s Under-19s Tournament. 

The MOU is aimed at the development and promotion of rugby to enhance human resource development and promote health and wellness for the social and economic benefit of Jamaica and the wider Caribbean societies.

This landmark tournament, which took place from July 14 – 17 at the UWI Mona Bowl, (Kingston, Jamaica), also featured the momentous partnership between SportsMax and Rugby Americas North.  SportsMax provided LIVE coverage of the Rugby Americas North (RAN) Tournament regionally and internationally through its cable affiliates across 26 Caribbean territories on SportsMax and SportsMax2, on the SportsMax App, available in the IOS and Google Play stores and on the SportsMax YouTube channel.
