VICE-CHANCELLOR’S REPORT TO UNIVERSITY COUNCIL 2021/2022
Dear UWI Alumni,
On April 26, I had the opportunity to present a historically significant annual report to the
Meeting of University Council
. The report was hybrid in nature; it was my report on The UWI’s performance for the academic year 2021/2022 but also, inescapably a reflection on the university as we celebrate our 75
th
Diamond Jubilee anniversary (1948-2023).
It gave me tremendous pride to report to the university’s highest governing body the continuous success of The UWI’s ten-year strategic plan. The first phase (2017-2022) focused on a Reputation Revolution and I am happy to report that The UWI’s reputation as a global academy of quality has never been higher. We have entered the second phase (2022-2027) and are focusing on a Revenue Revolution that will see The UWI become financially sustainable.

We have every reason to be proud of our performance and I hope you will be encouraged to share it onward within your personal and professional networks.
