The UWIs COP26 Rising Star Researchers

Ms. Tracy-Ann Hyman a PhD candidate at the Institute for Sustainable Development (ISD) and Ms. Marium Alleyne  a PhD candidate from the Cave Hill campus of the University of the West Indies (The UWI) have been named among the Commonwealth Futures Climate 26 Global Rising-star Researchers for 2021.

New and returning Faculty Deans make history at The UWI

The appointments of seven new and returning Faculty Deans were approved at the annual business meeting of The University of the West Indies (The UWI) last Friday, April 30, 2021. Among them is the regional University’s first ever female Dean of Science and Technology, based at The UWI Cave Hill Campus, Dr. Jeanese Badenock. 
 

Five scientists appointed newest professors at The UWI Mona Campus

An epidemiologist, pharmacologist, physiologist, public health specialist and psychologist were recently promoted from Senior Lecturers to Professors at The University of the West Indies (The UWI).
