INTRODUCTION
The UWI Moves programme is an initiative designed not only to elevate the health and fitness of our staff and students, but also their mental and psychosocial wellbeing. Through the integration of a scheduled fitness programme into campus life, prospective participants are encouraged to register for sessions that are suitable for them. Thereby creating a holistic environment that supports and promotes personal well-being, physical fitness, and sustainable development goals. The particular benefits of the programme are as follows:

PROGRAMME ACCESSIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
The UWI Mona community, which is inclusive of staff, students, and affiliates are encouraged to participate in the UWI Moves programme. All interested individuals must follow the necessary steps to ensure proper seamless registration, and enrolment, in the programme’s activities.
1. Registration and Required Documentation
Interested members are required to complete a formal registration and waiver forms. These forms solely request general participants’ information that are required by the Data Protection Act and are only intended for registration, potential salary deduction consent, indemnity to liability, and research purposes, respectively.

2. Bursary Cashier or Salary Deduction Payments
Upon completion of the aforementioned forms, individuals are required to make monthly payments based on the participant category and can be paid as follows:
3. Baseline Health Assessment
Before engaging in any fitness exercises, participants must undergo a mandatory health screening to evaluate their baseline health and fitness levels. This assessment ensures that fitness activities are aligned with the individual's health status and safety requirements.
Further, the data collected will not only indicate individual fitness levels but also support research efforts to measure the programme’s long-term impact in preventing or reducing chronic health conditions on the Mona Campus.
Participants will be required to complete an annual health assessment to monitor progress overtime.
The baseline health assessment will include the following measures:
Health assessments will be conducted at the Sports Medicine Clinic, 3rd Floor, Faculty of Medical Sciences Building. Assessment days: Mondays 8:00 - 9:00 am and 2:30 - 3:00 pm and Thursdays 2:30 - 3:00 pm
4. Bring receipt, water, towel and fitness mat to your session.
