BSc Sport Sciences

Overview

This BSc. Sport Sciences offers students a varied programme that covers a range of Sport Sciences related courses. It is structured to develop transferable competencies related to sport leadership, statistical analysis, teamwork, problem solving, numeracy, information technology awareness that would enhance graduating students’ potential for employment.

Programme Structure

 

The degree programme is a three (3) year full time programme which includes 10 courses per year. Students must complete a total of 30 courses of 90 credit hours in order to graduate.

 

Entry Requirements:

Normal (Three Year Programme) 

A minimum of five (5) CSEC General Proficiency (Grades I-III) or GCE subjects. Compulsory – English Language, Mathematics and a Science Subject, with passes in at least two, two-unit CAPE subjects or two GCE A-Level subjects or the equivalent OR

An associate degree from an approved tertiary level institution with a minimum Grade Point Average of 2.5 or above OR

Successful completion of the Certificate in Management and Administration of Sport.

Lower Level (Four Year Programme) Entry Requirements:

A minimum of five (5) CSEC General Proficiency (Grades I-III) or GCE O-Level subjects. Compulsory – English Language, Mathematics and a Science subject.
