The UWI SPEC International Half-Marathon was organised in partnership with the National Association of Athletics Administrations and the TT Olympic Committee and is accredited by AIMS and World Athletics.

This year’s 18^th edition of The University of the West Indies (The UWI) St. Augustine Campus’ International Half-Marathon and 5K spotlighted the work of The Dyslexia Association, raising awareness and twelve thousand dollars ($12, 000.00) for a worthy cause. The association is a registered non-governmental organisation (NGO) that supports dyslexics, parents, teachers, and members of the wider community. Their laudable efforts align with the theme of this year’s race: A Sound Mind and a Healthy Body.

Tafari Waldron claimed victory in one hour, nine minutes and 53 seconds (1:09:53) for the males while the female winner was Samantha Shukla who finished after one hour, 37 minutes and 06 seconds (1:37:06).
