On November 24, 2018, Dr. Aldeam Facey received the Prime Minister’s Youth Award for Excellence in the category of Innovation in Science and Technology for work done while pursuing his PhD in Biochemistry. The study quantified adipocytic contributions to basal lactate and created a novel metabolic profile of Jamaican athletes."
