CB Group UWI 5K & Run with Passion Kids K is one of The University of the West Indies’ major fundraising events to provide scholarships for academically outstanding students in dire financial need.

Over 300 students have benefited and proudly graduated, some with first-class honours from this fundraising initiative.

The annual event, staged in November, has grown into a powerful movement. 

The Run with Passion Kids K, formerly the Smart Eggs Kids K, is a huge hit with the under 11 crowd, as they get the opportunity to get in on the race day fun.

CB Group UWI 5K & Run with Passion Kids K takes place at UWI Mona, Queens Way on Sunday, March 22, 2026 starting at 6:30 a.m. (Warm-up at 6:00 a.m.)

Registration: Open to all individuals and teams – corporate, clubs, church groups, and family teams.

The deadline is Wednesday, March 18, 2026, or upon achieving the event limit, whichever comes first. THERE IS NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION.

Contribution:

  1. Individual: $2,000.00 ea
  2. Teams of 25 or more: $1,500.00 ea
  3. Students w/ ID and The Kids K: 1,000.00 ea

Given the devastation left in the wake of Hurricane Melissa and its disastrous effects on the students at our Western Campus in Montego Bay, whose lives and livelihood have been decimated, some of the proceeds generated from this event will be awarded in relief funds to them.
In this regard, we are working tirelessly to ensure a record breaking turnout of participants and hope that you will join us in achieving this goal.
