Our Coat of Arms is the single image that can represent the entire University.

The crest or top is a brown Pelican which fishes along the coasts of all Caribbean countries. It is a symbol of care for the young because of the belief that it is very nurturing. It is also used as a crest by both Corpus Chrisiti Colleges of Oxford and Cambridge.

The Cave Hill Campus Development and Endowment Fund launched in July 2003 and provides a vehicle for donors to make tax-deductible contributions to UWI. The Fund is established as a charitable trust in Barbados. Donors can make tax deductible financial contributions by Deed of Covenant over a three year period in accordance with the laws of Barbados.

Using Live by JN, the online banking platform of Jamaica National Building Society, any individual with a JN savings account can donate money towards UWI scholarships as of June 1st.

It is extremely easy to use.

The Institutional Advancement Divison (IAD) has a number of programmes geared towards involving and assisting current students of the UWI across the regional institution.

If you are interested or know anyone who may be interested, we are always looking for UWIAA Contacts in areas where we do not have UWIAA Chapters.

A UWIAA Contact serves in areas where there is no UWIAA Chapter as point of contact for the Institutional Advancement Division and Campus Alumni Officer and alumni traveling to the area, as well as a resource for UWI faculty and staff.

The volunteer(s) may be called on to assist the IAD and/or Campus Alumni Officer in developing and coordinating activities for alumni in the area.
