As part of an ongoing effort to facilitate a safe, secure system of transportation for students and staff on the Mona Campus, the Security Committee has granted permission for certain taxi operators to operate on The UWI, Mona Campus. The Excellence in UWI Life Awards is a awards ceremony hosted each year by the St. Augustine Corps to highlight those who have contributed significantly to The UWI.
By participating in the Pelican Perks Programme administered by The University of the West Indies (UWI), the Merchant or authorized agent of Merchant (collectively "Merchant") acknowledges that Merchant has read the following Pelican Perks Programme Terms and Conditions. Merchant will comply with applicable Pelican Perks Programmes Terms and Conditions, University policies, and laws.
These provide UWI graduates the opportunity to share their professional knowledge and expertise with students in a 60 to 90 minute virtual conversation.
It is an interactive session open to students across the 4 UWI campuses, with a more informal tone, which allows them to ask about the professions, career paths, challenges, trends and tips that alumni may wish to share.
Usually 3 or 4 alumni from different professions are the discussants and students log in from their computers to take part in the conversation.
A campus tour is a walking tour that typically last anywhere from 30 to 90 minutes, and groups are usually between three and twenty tour participants. Our tours are preceded by an information session, presented by the Student Recruitment Officer or a member of the admissions staff.
