MOOC Creation Process

  1. Expression of Interest

Interested in making a MOOC? Email the OOL (ool.rhq@uwi.edu) with the proposed name and a brief description, including your proposed target audience.

  1. Submission of MOOC Course Proposal Document

Download the MOOC Course Proposal from the OOL’s website (www.uwi.edu/ool/resources) complete the document and email it to ool.rhq@uwi.edu for review. If you have questions, just reach out to use – we are happy to help!

  1. FutureLearn Review

Future Learn will provide us with some feedback on the proposed MOOC.

  1. FutureLearn Training MOOC

Faculty and supporting staff will be asked to participate in the How to Create a Great FutureLearn MOOC which provides guidance for creating your own MOOC.

  1. MOOC Development

During this stage, a course plan and all MOOC course content will be created, including any video or multimedia elements. Instructional design support and quality checks will ensure that your course is engaging!

  1. MOOC Delivery

During this stage students will be engaging with your content and learning!

  1. Course Evaluation

Once the course has been delivered for the first time, the OOL Director will access analytics provided by FutureLearn to provide an evaluation of the course.
