Teach In 2026

THE UNIVERSITY OF THE WEST INDIES RESPONSIBLE FUTURES PROGRAMME PRESENTS SDG TEACH-IN 2026

The SDG Teach-In is an annual campaign which calls upon educators worldwide to embed the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into their teaching, training, and learning. The SDG Teach-In 2026 will last from 1st March to 31st March 2026.

This is more than a campaign—it is a global movement to embed the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into teaching, training, and learning. Last year, UWI ranked 10th worldwide in educator participation and 9th in student impact, with our efforts recognised as innovative, authentic, and impactful.

This year, we have an opportunity to build on that success and demonstrate UWI’s leadership in sustainability education. By registering, faculty members can:
  • Integrate SDGs into their courses, helping students connect academic learning to real-world challenges.
  • Contribute to UWI’s visibility and reputation as a regional and global leader in sustainability.
  • Empower students to become changemakers who drive solutions for a just and happier future.

Educators who wish to participate are invited to complete the online form for educators, trainers or workplace facilitators in order to take part in the Teach-In 2026, which will run over the month of March 2026. Participation is an important signal of our commitment to the One UWI Responsible Futures Programme.

For details of the SDG Teach-In programme, the recording of the SDG Teach-In 2026 webinar is now available to view on YouTube. Key information can be found on the SOS UK website; recommended resources for getting started or going further with the Teach-In are available in the Resource BankYou may also refer to the Exernal Communications Pack which includes ready-made promotion templates and graphics that can be used across key social media platforms.

UWI educators are encouraged to involve students in co-creating and co-designing the lectures, discussions, debates, short film creation etc. that will take place during each Teach-In annually. The students are our partners in The UWI's sustainability journey.

In order to assist with your preparation for Teach-In 2026, webinars and resources will be shared on this platform for viewing by all UWI Educators so that they can be viewed at the time most convenient to each person. All lecturers and staff members involved in designing programmes are invited to view these webinars to get ideas.
