Admission Requirements
Applicants to ISDJ must satisfy the University Regulations governing admission to a higher degree.
ISDJ programmes are considered course-based Masters programmes, so applicants should normally have at least a Lower Second Class Honours degree or its equivalent, GPA of 2.5.
Candidates with Pass degrees, who have other relevant qualifications and substantial experience in the field to which they are applying are considered for entry on a case by case basis.
Specific matriculation requirements are highlighted in the specific programme outline under Entry Requirements.

Only online applications are accepted. Applicants should only submit one online application.

You are required to pay your US$15.00 application processing fee either via E-Pay, Bank or Wire Transfer. Please see details below:

- Your payment receipt should clearly include your full name, amount paid and date of payment
- Upload your payment receipt within the Online Application page via the link "Upload Receipt"

NOTE: THE PROCESSING OF YOUR APPLICATION WILL ONLY COMMENCE ON RECEIPT OF YOUR COMPLETED APPLICATION RECEIPT AND ALL REQUIRED SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION INCLUSIVE OF PROOF OF PAYMENT OF THE NON-REFUNDABLE US$15.00 APPLICATION PROCESSING FEE.
Process for the submission of supporting documents
Submit your application receipt along with the notarized copies of your supporting documents (as listed below) via email to graduate@open.uwi.edu.
OR
Alternatively if you reside in a country with a UWI Global Campus Site, you can submit your application receipt along with the original and copies of the supporting documents (as listed below) to The UWI Global Campus Site office in your country. Your copies will be verified by Site personnel and the originals returned to you.
Please note:
- Official transcripts from non-UWI campuses should be sent directly from the granting institution to The UWI Global Campus via email to: graduate@open.uwi.edu
- Your supporting documents can be notarized by either a Notary Public, Commissioner of Affidavits or Justice of the Peace.

- Completed Application Receipt with passport size photograph affixed

Note: If you have not uploaded your payment receipt via the Online Application Portal, please submit along with the supporting documents listed. - Proof of Identity (Birth Certificate OR Valid Passport OR Valid National Identification Card)
- Marriage Certificate (where applicable)
- Legal Affidavit or Deed Poll (if present name or date of birth on your supporting documents is different from that on the Birth Certificate)
- All Academic Certificates (e.g. First Degrees) (Not applicable to graduates of The UWI)
- Professional Certificates/Diplomas
