Dr. Stacy Richards-Kennedy

Dr. Stacy Richards-Kennedy heads the regional Office of Global Partnerships and Sustainable Futures at The University of the West Indies (UWI).  She is responsible for strategic negotiations and relationship management with a wide range of stakeholders including governments, multilateral development agencies, universities, research institutions, corporations and non-governmental organizations.  The Office of Global Partnerships and Sustainable Futures focuses on promoting the university’s teaching, research and advocacy on climate-smart and sustainability issues and deepening the university’s engagement in national and regional processes to advance the 2030 sustainable development agenda.  The Office also coordinates the Global University Consortium on SDG 13, bringing together universities from across 5 continents, all committed to climate action.

Dr. Richards-Kennedy has over 20 years’ experience in development management and development financing.  Prior to taking up her current role at UWI, she served as Assistant Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) for Trinidad and Tobago, Aruba, Curaçao and Sint Maarten between 2014 and 2016.  Other appointments include Chief Technical Advisor, Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) – Washington DC, Consultant, The World Bank – Washington DC and Programme Specialist, UNESCO – Paris.  Over the course of her career, Dr. Richards-Kennedy has managed multi-donor trust funds and led development programmes in Europe, Africa, North America and Latin America and the Caribbean. 

Fluent in Spanish, French and English, Dr. Richards-Kennedy holds a Doctorate in Education from The University of Sheffield, an MSc (Development Management) and an MBA (International Finance) from American University in Washington DC as well as a Postgraduate Diploma (International Relations) and BSc in Foreign Languages from The University of the West Indies (St. Augustine, Trinidad).

Denesha Bailey-Cole

Denesha Bailey-Cole serves as Programme Officer in the Office of the Vice-Chancellor at The University of the West Indies. She has diverse knowledge and experience in regional and international development in higher education. 



Kevin Manning

Kevin Manning is a Project Coordinator in the Office of the Vice-Chancellor at The University of the West Indies. He is passionate about the field of development, as well as areas of climate change, sustainable finance, health, human rights and security.



Michael Joseph

Michael Joseph is currently Project Coordinator of the UWI Youth Development Programme with responsibility for the results driven project development work and pipeline implementation including funding and partnerships.  Driven by a people-centered approach to development, his work is rooted on the population dynamics of youth, relative to other demographic groups and mobilising investments in human capital through The UWI. 


Dale James

Dale James is a Project and Portfolio Management professional who applies agility and innovation into his work. He is a trained development economist with a BSc. and MSc. In Economics from The UWI and holds professional certifications from PMI, SCRUM Alliance and PROSCI. He  holds LL.B Law from the University of London.



Damani Parris

Damani Parris is a Project Coordinator at The University of the West Indies Youth Development Programme (UWI – YDP), a Project of the Vice Chancellery of The UWI.  He has responsibility for the Office of Internal Affairs and Operations of that Project and assists the office in the development and implementation of initiatives geared at developing the Youth of the region.
