The UWI and UNDP partners to establish a Public Policy Think Tank for a Blue Economy
Partnered with UNDP to host the Blue Talk at The UWI, Cave Hill Campus (May 27, 2019)
The 2019 Blue Talk brought together leading innovators in the field to engage with the public on the unique opportunities presented by the blue economy. It was the launchpad for a series of engagements with UNDP Barbados in support of its work programme on the Blue Economy in the Eastern Caribbean, including:
- a joint UNDP-FAO project to develop a sargassum management plan;
- Blue Economy Advisory Board in Barbados
- a proposal to establish a joint UNDP-UWI Public Policy Think Tank on the Blue Economy
