The UWI signs MoU with the Open Society Foundation

In September 2020, The UWI signed a landmark MoU with the Open Society Foundation, one of the world’s leading philanthropic organizations founded by George Soros. In addition to supporting the establishment of the UWI’s Global Institute for Climate-Smart and Resilient Development through a project that will consolidate The UWI’s wide-ranging research on climate change, sustainable development and resilience, the OSF grant will also facilitate the preparation of an institutional strategy on climate justice.
