The UWI signs MoU with The Government of Antigua and Barbuda and ACU

In January 2021, The UWI signed a landmark MoU with The Government of Antigua and Barbuda and the Association of Commonwealth Universities in support of the Centre of Excellence for Oceanography and the Blue Economy at The UWI Five Islands Campus. This Centre of Excellence will serve to strengthen institutional capacity in the areas of marine science and the blue economy as well as ensure the sub-region’s readiness to seize the opportunities presented by this untapped emerging sector.
