Call for Applications: EPIC - Extraordinary Projects Impacting Communities
The Digicel Foundation has issued a call for applications under its initiative - Extraordinary Projects Impacting Communities which aims to deliver a series of small scale community-based projects that have the potential to enhance indoor and outdoor spaces and contribute toward the development of communities throughout Trinidad and Tobago.
To date, 80 EPIC partners have implemented a variety of community projects, namely; refurbishment of play parks, a community tank - farm, refurbishment of libraries, development of computer labs, youth friendly spaces, and even a community gym, to name a few.
The grant will focus on innovative projects like computer labs, youth friendly spaces, community parks, community gardens, youth centres, minor upgrades to community sporting facilities, environmental projects and libraries.
All approved projects must be implemented with 6-8 weeks. Partnerships are encouraged with other Civil Society Organisations, Corporate entities, Regional Corporations and other Government agencies. In fact, a major win for EPIC has been its ability to encourage private/public sector partnerships.
The grant will focus on innovative projects like computer labs, youth friendly spaces, community parks, community gardens, youth centres, minor upgrades to community sporting facilities, environmental projects and libraries.
