Leonor is a public health analyst with a background in chronic disease research and epidemiology. Leonor has experience in quantitative and qualitative methods for population health. She is interested in the challenges of health policy for developing country settings and especially the development of evidence-based interventions under constrained resources.
Leonor is a Research Assistant with CDRC working on the Systems Science for Caribbean Health Project, which forms the core of her PhD research. Her duties include working with stakeholders to elicit perspectives on non-communicable disease policy development for the Caribbean region, exploring the social determinants of diabetes risk factors and outcomes through quantitative evidence, and creating a simulation model for policy testing on population-level diabetes and NCD interventions.
