Christina Howitt, BSc, MSc, PhD

Christina Howitt earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacology from the University of Bristol in 2003, and then her Master of Science degree in Control of Infectious Disease from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in 2005. She went on to work in the private sector on a variety of clinical trials, before becoming a Clinical Trial Manager with the oncology division of the Medical Research Council, Clinical Trials Unit. She returned to Barbados in 2009 and joined the GA-CDRC as a Lecturer in Data Science and PhD student.

Research interests

Physical activity and metabolic health in the Barbadian population.
