The George Alleyne Chronic Disease Research Centre (GA-CDRC) has a strong track record in performing population-based studies, including the surveillance of chronic non-communicable disease (NCD) incidence and mortality, prevalence of NCD risk factors and NCD prevention and control policy and practice. The ultimate goal of this research is the improvement in the health of people in Barbados and the wider Caribbean, by the translation of the results into sound health policy and practice.
