Special Initiatives

According to breastcancer.org, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, held in October every year, aims to promote screening and prevention of the disease, which affects 2.3 million women worldwide. The UWI Office of Administration supports the fight against the disease.
We encourage you to learn more about breast cancer, the risk factors for yourself and those you love — and how to minimize them — and the importance of being screened for the disease.

The NWC Basic School, located in Papine, St Andrew, was in need of repairs and a facelift. Recognizing this opportunity to contribute, the Office of Administration (Team OOA) organized a project to repaint one of the classrooms for Labour Day 2023.
