Mr Byron Maurice Robertson
BYRON ROBERTSON
Mr. Robertson joined the staff of the University in 1970 as an Assistant Registrar and was promoted to the post of Senior Assistant Registrar in June 1971 and then to Campus Secretary, Mona in August 1979.
Consequent to the restructuring of the University in 1984, Mr. Robertson was named Campus Registrar. He was appointed to act as University Registrar in 1985 on the retirement of the University Registrar, Carl Jackman and was appointed in 1986.
In addition to his administrative achievements at The UWI, he was an avid sportsman and served as a Track Judge for the Jamaica Athletic Association. He represented the University in cricket for many years.
Mr. Robertson retired from the UWI in 1992.
