Centre for Criminal Justice and Security

Training Overview

The Institute of Criminal Justice and Security currently provides a specialised certificate training course in effective leadership, under our Leadership Challenge Workshop, which is available to police officers within the region.

While it tackles persistent problems of violent crime, governments try to modernize and professionalise policing in ways that advance the quest for development in areas of justice and security. ICJS stands ready to aid in this mission.

ICJS’s training curriculum is continuously updated to meet the needs of the law enforcement agencies within the Caribbean region. This is in line with our objective to improve the human resource capacity in CARICOM member states for more effective law enforcement, security and justice through education and training and improved capabilities for research and policy support.
