The USAID-funded Jamaica Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Support for the Caribbean Basin Security Initiative (JAMEL for the CBSI) Activity is a locally led partnership with the Government of Jamaica (GoJ) Ministry of National Security (MNS). JAMEL provides robust monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) tools and local stakeholder capacity building to support the MNS in its use of data and decision support tools for evidence-informed improvements to violence prevention and diversion services in efforts to mitigate youth crime and violence.
The CCJS contributed to the initiative by offering experienced consultants to provide short-term technical assistance across project components. Additionally, CCJS delivered training and capacity-building expertise to Ministry of National Security staff, partners, and stakeholders, enhancing their ability to address key challenges in crime and violence prevention.
