Cross Campus Learning Management System

  • Expanded Learning management system (CCM) solution to enable students/lecturers from all campuses to seamlessly access course
  • MBBS cross-campus Online Examinations from 2020
  • 4000 students in foundation course Faculty of Law LLM/ Faculty of Sports Diploma/ Software Engineering Programme

 

Microsoft Office365 for All Staff

  • Establish a unified communication platform O365
  • Migrated Email (Cave Hill, Open, St Augustine)
  • Prepared O365 Security Baseline; Transiting to M365; Administrative Operation in a shared Environment
  • Convened and lead SharePoint Governance Stakeholder Committee

 

CXC UWI Web Services

  • Continued strategic partnership with CXC technical team
  • Delivered an improved and standardized method for the University to CXC results data from for applicants to the UWI through the use of Web Services

 

Redesign Cross-campus and UWI.edu websites

  • Redesign of top level web pages at university and campuses
  • Lead cross-campus technical web team in collaboration with Marketing and Communication

 

OneUWI Business Intelligence

  • Lead technical team to establish a unified Business Intelligence environment with daily refresh for decision makers; access to accurate, relevant, reliable, valid and current information; collaboration with Planning Office.

 

Security Training

  • Obtained CDB funding for cross-campus security training
  • Six (6) teams were trained in Microsoft Azure Security course; Fifteen (15) cross-campus team members were trained in the certified Cloud Security course

 

Data Protection Policy

  • Drafted data protection policy in 2018
  • Lead IT Working Group
  • Provide Project Management service to Data Protection Policy Implementation Committee

 

Enterprise Architecture

  • Initiated Enterprise Architecture cross-campus group; Obtained CDB funding to conduct training in TOGAF methodology.

 

Enable the digital transformation across the UWI & ICT Governance Initiatives

 

OneUWI Digital Transformation Programme

  • Identified CDB funding; UWI lead with consultancy for developing DT Programme Report in collaboration with cross-campus ICT teams and SVUS Programme Coordinator culminating with workshop in May 2018 under auspices of Chair University ICT steering Committee
  • Provide technical support to establish MS Office 365 platform for collaboration across the programme domains

 

 

ICT Target Operating Model (TOM) for Shared Services

  • Designed ICT shared services operating model for improved and consistent delivery of ICT services in collaboration with CIOs and cross-campus teams
  • Phase 2 completed. Transition phase not yet started due to unavailability of resources and absence of HR and Finance framework

 

University ICT Governance

  • Provide leadership and coordination in many university wide ICT projects guided by governance of the University ICT Steering Committee
  • Provide support to Chair, University ICT Steering Committee

 

Annual Cross Campus ICT Retreat

  • Convened annual strategic cross-campus Retreat with multiple focus groups.
  • 2019 Retreat theme "OneUWI IT team delivering excellent ICT services to enable the transformation of the UWI"

Provide secure, reliable and integrated ICT solutions for Vice Chancellery departments

 

ICT Operations Services to RHQ

  • Provide ICT Support Services to RHQ users - Significant increase in activities was during COVID Pandemic in areas such as:
  • Video Conferencing
  • VPN requests
  • SharePoint Repository for University Meetings

 

 

Five Islands Antigua Campus: IT Services

  • Provided ICT Support to the FIC as they established ICT services at the campus
  • Established and lead an ICT Working Group
  • Lead a consultancy review of all teaching spaces to identify education technology required

 

Training Development - Security Awareness; Microsoft O365

  • MS Office 365 major increase in the request and addition of new users
  • Security Awareness training for RHQ users
