2018 Global Index and Dashboard Online
Caribbean countries can now track their progress on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The SDG Index and Dashboards report seeks to help in achieving the 2030 Global Agenda for Sustainable Development, forging a more resilient and sustainable path towards development.
The 2018 edition of the SDG Index and Dashboards global report is now available online. Caribbean countries can view their performance on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the SDG index and Dashboard Global Report at http://www.sdgindex.org.
The annual SDG Index and Dashboards report tracks progress on the SDGs in each country across the globe to ensure accountability in achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which seeks to transform our world. The report assists governments and other sectors of society to set priorities and standards for action on the SDGs, tracks progress, ensures accountability, and helps countries understand their challenges and identify gaps in their efforts to position sustainable development in their own countries.
The seventeen (17) Goals with one hundred and sixty-nine (169) targets are integrated and indivisible. They represent a plan of action for people, planet and prosperity in three core dimensions of sustainable development – economic, social and environmental. They were adopted by world leaders in September 2015 and came into effect on January 1, 2016.
The SDG Index and Dashboard was first launched in July 2016 by the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) and the Bertelsmann Stiftung.
