Develop a Disaster Risk Management Policy for the Jamaica Red Cross

Project Background: 

Jamaica is vulnerable to both natural and human induced disasters. This vulnerability is one of the primary challenges affecting its sustainable development.

This project sought to develop the Jamaica RED Cross Disaster Risk Management Policy aimed at reducing risks and nurturing resilience within communities in Jamaica to achieve the Vision 2030 goals for Sustainable Development. The aim being to ensure that the policy is harmonized within the existing legal, policy and institutional framework, instruments and protocols which define approaches to disaster risk management in Jamaica.
