1932 Bahamas Hurricane Deaths: 16 Impact: Destructive on the island on Abaco Island, 16 persons were killed and 300 injured. At Hope Town high winds destroyed 83 homes and severely damaged 63; other public buildings were destroyed. Food supplies were low, and salt contaminated the drinking supply; Only four homes were left standing on Great Guana Cay. 12 homes were destroyed at March Harbour. On Green Turtle Cay a large storm surge affected the island leading to the graveyard and all buildings being destroyed, 6 deaths occurred, and 25 injuries reported.
