Mr. Hibbert holds a BA in Spanish (major) and International Relations (minor) and is also passionate about linguistics, which he studied at The University of the West Indies (The UWI). He serves as Senior Administrative Assistant in the Office of Global Affairs.
 
Throughout his over 17 years of service at The UWI, Mona, he has taken a keen interest in how rewards and documented processes support strategic departmental goals. At The UWI, he has given administrative support in the Registry Information Systems (RIS) department, formerly, the Student Records Unit (SRU), and in the Faculty of Engineering (FOE) with a focus on the quality assurance and enhancement portfolio. There, he contributed to the FOE earning international (US-based) ABET accreditation of its first eligible programme increasing its global appeal.
 
He has taught within the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at The UWI, Mona, successfully sustaining interest in Spanish and foreign languages, through the delivery of a 10-week Certificate Course in Spanish at both the beginners and intermediate levels.
 
Mr. Hibbert is passionate about building confidence in foreign language students by applying a variety of foreign language learning techniques. He is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Languages, Literatures and Film Studies at The UWI and intends to further explore anxiety in foreign language learning in the Caribbean context.
