Ms. Lois St Brice leads strategic partnership development, global engagement initiatives, donor relations, and resource mobilization efforts that create opportunities for research, innovation, capacity building, and sustainable development across the Caribbean and beyond. She provides dedicated support to the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Global Affairs in the areas of strategy, operations, policy and programme development, and partnership management, advancing The UWI’s global engagement agenda. Her portfolio includes collaborations with organizations such as the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), Future Earth, CCRIF SPC, the Caribbean Telecommunications Union (CTU), the Climate Finance Access Network (CFAN), World Digital Governance (WDG), Caribbean Airlines, and other regional, multilateral, and international partners. Through these engagements, she has helped secure and leverage millions of dollars in funding and partnership support for climate resilience, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, workforce development, scholarships, internships, research, and innovation initiatives across The UWI and the region.

With more than a decade of experience in innovation, research management, partnership management and institutional development, Ms. St Brice has led and supported several high-impact initiatives that connect research, technology, and global cooperation to deliver development outcomes. Prior to joining the Office of Global Affairs, she served as Manager – Funds and Strategic Initiatives at The UWI St. Augustine Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (StACIE), where she managed the Research and Development Impact (RDI) Fund and Innovation and Technology Transfer (ITT) Fund, helping to advance The UWI’s transformation into a more entrepreneurial and innovation-driven university. She played a key role in developing innovation funding mechanisms, research commercialization pathways, technology transfer processes, startup support programmes, and the establishment of UWI Ventures, The UWI’s commercialization entity. Earlier in her career, she served in the Office of the Campus Principal at UWI St. Augustine, where she managed strategic research and innovation programmes and contributed to strengthening the University’s research impact agenda.

A Trinidad and Tobago national with extensive regional and international networks, Ms. St Brice holds a Master of Business Administration from Boston University (USA), a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from Dartmouth College’s Thayer School of Engineering (USA), and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies from Bates College (USA). She is a PMP® and SSGBC™ certified project manager and has received specialized international training in monitoring and evaluation (USA and Switzerland), and research commercialization (Cambridge University, UK).

Ms. St Brice is particularly passionate about building the partnerships, institutions, and innovation ecosystems needed to translate knowledge into impact and position The UWI as a leading global university advancing solutions for the Caribbean and the wider Global South.
