Tropical Storm Tomas 2010 Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 140 miles...220 km from the center. During the past hour...a wind gust to 63 mph...100 Km/hr was reported on Barbados. Information from the Barbados Meteorological service indicates that damage to homes and downed Power lines have been reported on the island. Hurricane Ivan 2004 on September 5th, Ivan was a category 1 hurricane located about 930 miles east southeast of Barbados to late on the 7th, regular, relevant and reliable information on Ivan was disseminated. Between the late morning and early afternoon Sunday September 5th Ivan underwent rapid intensification to become the fourth major hurricane of the season.
