Lina Torres Maestre, Senior Administrative Assistant

Mrs. Lina Paola Torres Maestre is the Senior Administrative Assistant of the Latin-American-Caribbean Centre (LACC) having joined the staff in April 2019. Her duties expand beyond administration to research assistance, event management and project coordination, drawing on her qualifications and years of experience in International Business Administration and Human Resource Management.

Prior to her employment at LACC, Mrs. Torres worked for seven years in the private sector in her native Colombia in human resource matters including selection, planning and development, compensation and benefits, labour relations, industrial safety, and occupational health. She also supported management with the strategic alignment of company goals and negotiating collective agreements, including a significant three-year agreement on one of the largest cement plants in Colombia.

In 2015, Lina Paola graduated from the prestigious top-ranked Universidad Tecnológico de Monterrey (Tec de Monterrey), Mexico, with a Masters of Business Administration, majoring in Human Resources. She also holds a B.A. in International Business Administration (Ibague) and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Marketing (Rosario). Lina Paola’s leadership skills, fluency in Spanish and English, and computer software proficiency have made her an invaluable asset to LACC.
