Remaking Trade Project for a Sustainable Future
Remaking Trade Project for a Sustainable Future
This Project, led by academics from Yale, Tufts and UWI aims to make the international trading system more inclusive, just and sustainable. With over 10 workshops conducted around the world looking at the trade/sustainability interface, the Project has managed to produce a report called the Villars Framework for a Sustainable Trade Future, available here: https://remakingtradeproject.org/villars-framework
Over ten workshops implemented throughout 2023 on various topics interrogating the trade and sustainability interface such as climate, social issues (gender, marginalized groups), blue economy, circular economy, just transition. The Workshops and papers prepared in connection with them are available here: https://remakingtradeproject.org/
Countries from all over the world, but in particular from CARICOM - one Project workshop on trade and the just transition was held in Barbados in May 2023
