Blue Economy in the Caribbean
The University of the West Indies (UWI) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) have partnered to respond to the challenges Caribbean Islands are facing when it comes to sustainable use of marine resources. This includes impacts on ocean-related sectors such as fisheries, research, tourism as well as maritime transport infrastructure.

Remaking Trade Project for a Sustainable Future | This Project, led by academics from Yale, Tufts and UWI aims to make the international trading system more inclusive, just and sustainable. Caribbean Climate Care | This study is was as a rapid-response pilot investigation, capturing the potential synergies between psychological distress arising from the emerging COVID-19 crisis and the existing climate change crisis, with a particular focus on the mental health consequences in young people. |

Connecting Climate Minds | To facilitate collaboration across disciplines and sectors, we are establishing Communities of Practice in the seven Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) regions. Once established, we will run a series of open dialogues and work collectively to create an inclusive agenda for research and action that safeguards mental health in a changing climate and catalyses more effective and co-beneficial climate action. |
