PROJECT SUMMARY

Capacity building for a proactive climate justice approach among fisherfolk in Barbados, with attention to the inclusion and participation of women and young people, through empowerment as advocates and influencers in anticipation of climate change adaptation within Barbados blue economy initiatives.

PROJECT ACTIVITIES

1. Call to action for climate and social justice for fisherfolk in Barbados; 

2. A series of outreach events such as public panel discussions and community meetings; 

3. The development of a diverse range of communications products; 

4. Interventions by fisherfolk aimed at climate and social justice in the blue economy, marine spatial planning, national ocean policy, etc; 

5. Production of CERMES Technical Reports; 

7. Development of Popular Theatre capacity building products produced by fisherfolk 8. Participatory monitoring and evaluation reports
