Hurricane Emily formed on 10 July, 2005 in the Atlantic Ocean and made its way through the Windward Islands on July 14. A total of 84 reports were made the National Disaster Agency of damages to houses in Tobago. Two houses in Lambeau and Les Coteaux were destroyed. Other damage included loss of roofs and electricity. Flooding, landslide and erosion. The areas hardest hit were on the windward and northern side of the island. Charlotteville, Parlatuvier, Bacolet, Bethel and Calder Hall were some of the areas Emily touched.

On 12 November 2004, Tobago experienced severe weather conditions due to the presence of the Inter Tropical Convergent Zone (ITCZ) and a front stretching in from the north. The me office reported a total of 208.7 mm of rainfall accompanied the system. His severe weather claimed the lives of two persons, one a resident of Louis D’or and the other at Delaford. Additionally, several others were injured while there were also many reported cases of landslides and flooding in some areas of the island.

Ivan became a hurricane on the 5th September centered about 1000 n mi east of Tobago in the southern Windward Islands. In preparation for the storm over 560 people from low lying coastal areas were evacuated to seven shelters in Tobago. The island of Tobago received 16.20 inches of rainfall as a result of the storm. In Tobago at least 1 home collapsed and fell into the ocean; at least 45 homes lost their roofs; numerous trees and utility poles were blown down leading to power outages in parts of the island; 20 villages suffered various forms of damage.
