February is Data Privacy Awareness Month!
Data plays an extremely important role in our everyday life, especially now, in what is described as the digital age. Data Privacy is a fairly broad concept which refers to the conditions that enable the foundation of human dignity and autonomy. Data Protection is a specific subset of Data Privacy, concerned with how a third-party manages the data it holds about an individual.
In an effort to continue the awareness, and conversation on these important issues that affect us all—staff and students alike—the University Data Protection Office, has designated all of February to learning about data privacy.
So, get educated. Take advantage of the opportunity to participate in the activities scheduled for this month:
