About The Symposium
The Canada Caribbean Research Symposium (CCRS) is the inaugural event of the Canada Caribbean Institute. Organized by The University of the West Indies (The UWI) and Brock University , the symposium is aimed at presenting current research and projects being conducted on issues pertinent to Canada and the Caribbean, while also providing researchers and interested stakeholders with an opportunity to connect and consider future collaborations.

The UWI Regional Headquarters, Kingston
The building, commonly referred to as the 'Centre', situated across from the main entrance to the Mona campus of The UWI, houses the Vice-Chancellery, the central administrative arm of the University's five campuses - Mona (Jamaica), St Augustine (Trinidad and Tobago), Cave Hill (Barbados), Five Islands (Antigua and Barbuda) and the Open Campus with a presence in all the countries that support The UWI.

Do I need a visa to come to Jamaica?

Do I need my own transportation?
Transportation will be provided between the hotels listed in New Kingston and The UWI on the mornings of February 17, 18 and 19 and at the end of activities related to the symposium on those days.
