UWI among world’s top Golden Age universities

The UWI is now among the world’s top 100 Universities in new rankings released by Times Higher Education (THE) in the category - ‘Golden Age University Rankings’. This covers established higher education institutions across the world that have been around for 50 to 80 years.

The UWI actually secured top spots on THE’s three latest lists: Latin America University Rankings, Golden Age University Rankings and Impact Rankings. Moreover, The UWI remains unrivaled as the number one Caribbean University in these rankings.

The UWI’s senior leadership portfolios expand

Among the decisions taken at the sitting of the annual meeting of University Council last month was the assignment of additional duties to Pro Vice-Chancellors and Campus Principals. This, in keeping with the University’s current COVID-19 cost-cutting and cost-containment strategies.

Kavell Joseph

UWI alumna Kavell Joseph is currently a technical youth employment specialist at Solutions for Youth Employment (S4YE). Kavell is an attorney from the Commonwealth jurisdiction of Trinidad and Tobago. She holds an LLM in International Legal Studies from American University Washington College of Law and a Bachelor of Laws from The UWI.
