Hats off to the UWI Five Islands’ Pelicans of Pride

Hats off to the UWI Five Islands’ Pelicans of Pride

Photo of the Five Islands Campus first graduation ceremony.

On Sunday, January 11, 2021, Launée Richards, Jerushah Baynes, Netisha Alie-Grant, Shanique Gumbs, Marsha Lay-Jarvis and Lekiesha Mack made history by being the first set of graduands for the University of the West Indies Five Islands Campus; the fourth landed campus and the fifth campus of the 73 years old institution. Evolving from a sole faculty, sole campus to an independent degree-granting institution the UWI continues to play its part in producing West Indian beacons of pride.

We are happy to celebrate the accomplishments of these women and the Five Islands campus. Hats off to the UWI and its pelicans of pride, again you have proven that the limit is the sky.

Here is the link to the graduation ceremony just in case you missed it.

Stay safe and have a prosperous new year.
