Kevin Manning, Project Manager; Office of Global Affairs

Mr. Kevin Manning is a Cluster Management Officer and Project Manager in the Office of Global Affairs at The University of the West Indies. He received his higher-level education at The UWI Cave Hill Campus, where he attained his Bachelors in Political Science with International Relations. As a lifelong student, he has obtained his Post Graduate Diploma in Management Studies from The UWI Open Campus and is currently pursuing his Masters in Global Diplomacy from SOAS, University of London. Kevin is passionate about the field of international development and the challenges of Climate Change. He has advocated across the region and globally on the challenges that the region will face if issues go unaddressed. He is focused on the realities and possibilities for the Caribbean region in sustainable finance, security, health and migration among many other areas of interests. Through his work with The UWI, he has lead and partnered with local, regional, and international organizations on programmes and initiatives and has been a vital advocate for a stronger voice and representation for the youth of the Caribbean region on the global stage. Amid all of this, he is also Chair of the Environment & Renewable Energy Committee for the Barbados Association of Non-Governmental Organisations (BANGO) where he is focused on spreading awareness and implementing initiatives that will benefit the wider civil society body as well as the general public. In addition to this, he spends time consulting with local civil society organisations and non governmental organisations in areas of climate change, sustainability and organisational leadership. Kevin intends to continue in the field of international development working with partners to address critical global issues.
