UNIVERSITY MANAGEMENT AUDITOR

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the post of University Management Auditor.

Reporting to the Vice Chancellor, the University Management Auditor will have overall responsibility for the internal Management Audit Function of the University of the West Indies. The University Management Auditor oversees the following - Operational, Programme, Performance, Compliance, Diagnostic, Information Technology as well as Financial Accounting and Management audits.

The successful applicant should have:

• proven managerial ability with at least ten (10) years post­ qualification experience as a senior manager;
• demonstrated ability to carry out objective analyses and appraisals and to make recommendations on how operations may be improved or maintained at a high level;
• strong understanding of operational, financial and computer aided audit techniques;
• strong interpersonal and communication skills;
• experience in staff training and development;
• proven investigative skills; and
•  membership in a recognized professional Auditing or Accounting Association.
