Innovation & Entrepreneurship Webinar Series
In an attempt to create synergies between research, teaching, practice, and entrepreneurial initiatives, the School for Graduate Studies and Research introduced, The Entrepreneurial University Webinar Series, in March of 2019. The series aims to explore different perspectives and approaches to the ‘entrepreneurial university’ paradigm, explore channels and mechanisms used by universities to implement the entrepreneurial paradigm, influence mindsets, and contribute to the public discussion on the impact of commercialisation of university research and knowledge.
The Webinar Series presents conversations focused on practical experiences in the university, grant-funding, patenting, and commercialisation.

Towards an Entrepreneurial UWI: Navigating Your Journey in Entrepreneurship Education (EE)
The UWI has recently begun transforming itself into an ‘entrepreneurial university’.
An entrepreneurial university—through its policies, teaching and research—inculcates a mind-set that encourages entrepreneurial activity. It also provides or hosts specific facilities (e.g. a technology transfer office) and initiatives (e.g. business competitions) which promote entrepreneurial activity.
This webinar explores the issues surrounding the strategies that can be utilized to incorporate entrepreneurial concepts within various courses. We will be discussing some of the experiential experiences in the teaching of entrepreneurship and provide a checklist to help support those who are interested in learning how to add value in their course content with the introduction of entrepreneurship education.
