Specific responsibilities include:
- Supporting The UWI leadership in the formulation and co-ordination of policies and strategies with respect to regional and international outreach to ensure a coherent, focused approach.
Collaborating with The UWI offices and entities to strengthen existing and forge new links with regional and international tertiary level educational institutions and other organizations, including funding agencies.
- Building and maintaining a central registry of Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) and project contracts relating to collaboration and partnerships signed by the central university and the campuses to support the implementation of policies.
- Strengthening and developing operational links with national tertiary education institutions in the region to facilitate the development of an articulated system of tertiary education.
CORIA is advised by an Outreach Committee
, which facilitates internal collaboration and thus strengthens the ability of The UWI to engage successfully as an institution in regional and international initiatives.
